Event Marketing.

If the streets are the soul of CM, then events are the heart! Events, for us, were all about creating a community. We are constantly trying to help develop local artists by giving them opportunity to rock and rub shoulders with established artists. By bringing down “big names” while showcasing local talent, CM was able to reach out to a larger cross section of people. Fans came to see the established artist, friends and family come to see the local artist, thus increasing each artist’s potential fan base. We have branded such events as: Off The Hook, Round Midnight, Chemistry, Unity, The RI Hip Hop Showcase, The Up and Comers Showcase, and The RI Hip Hop Awards. Community Marketing has promoted events with Eminem, Smiff and Wesson, Guru, MR. Lif, Akrobatik, The High and the Mighty, Non Phixion, and many more.

Community Marketing books local, regional and national shows successful in attracting your company’s key demographic. The marketing plans Community Marketing organizes for the execution of these shows act as a dual-action promotional tool. Our company is able to both promote the actual shows and the artists performing, while steadily promoting other projects during the event. These events are the perfect way to brand company identity and gain mass exposure for wide range of products.

Street Promotions.

The soul of Community Marketing was born in the streets, the real streets, not the blinged out made for MTV version of the streets. Community Marketing built a strong reputation by blasting the city with sticker runs and wheat pasting campaigns. We are everywhere, shaking hands and passing out flyers. We strive to create strong working relationships with all retail establishments. We believe that street promotions are the purest and most effective form of marketing for our community. We have provided street promotions for Indie record labels such as, Rawkus Records, Landspeed Records, BabyGrande Records, Cornerstone Music and fresh urban lifestyle companies such as the XBOX, LRG Clothing, and theFADER magazine.

Community Marketing has its roots firmly planted in the art of street promotion. We not only use the tried and true methods of postering, sniping, stickering, wheat pasting, retail runs, and hand to hand distribution, we also, work to define ourselves as the bench mark which other street teams attempt to imitate. A staple of any marketing plan, street promotions has proven to be one of the most effective and cost effective forms of marketing. In addition, Community Marketing has established strong and reliable street team support in all our key markets.

College Rep Program.

The Community Marketing’s College Rep Program is an innovative and cost effective way to target millions of 18- 28 year olds nation wide. We have arranged a vast network of college representatives allowing us full marketing access to the biggest schools in the largest markets in the country. This extremely dedicated network of on-campus student representatives work in conjunction with our company to aid us in the successful promotion of our client’s products. Our college reps have proven time and again that they can, with great ease, help us to book and promote college shows, provide promotion for the given performing artist, and to simply provoke student interest in the products our clients have to offer. In addition, The Community Marketing College Rep Program provides clients with access to all forms of campus media, including perhaps the most powerful form of underground marketing: college radio. Arguably the center of all non-commercial marketing throughout the country, college radio is an inexpensive, yet undeniably effective solution to a client’s marketing needs. Community Marketing is able to offer its clients the opportunity to air daily advertisements on college radio stations in all key markets, targeting one of the most lucrative demographics in urban youth marketing, STUDENTS.

This method of marketing often is exhibited through tactics such as taste-testing or advanced CD distribution and DJ servicing

Radio Promotions.

Community Marketing has forged prevalent ties to commercial radio stations from LA to Maine. We build healthy, organic relationships with executives, DJ’s and on-air personalities, thus assuring a client’s national exposure. Together, through on-air checks, on location promotions and DJ servicing, this opportunity can act as a company or artist’s bridge into mainstream commercial culture. Community Marketing has worked hand in hand with college radio to help break new artists. Community Marketing has had two separate radio shows on two separate college stations in the New England area. We have worked to keep any and all potential listeners up to date of fresh hip hop events.

Public Access TV.

Community Marketing was involved with ILLVisionsTHC a popular public access television show in Rhode Island. It was one of the longest running hip hop public access shows in the area. Mortal learned how to shoot video and edit from T-Rock. T-Rock was the genius behind ILLVisionsTHC and was a true pioneer in the industry. T-Rock’s vision and tutelage would spark Mortal’s love for video production which brought about our own public access show, The RUFF CUTT. The RUFF CUTT ran for a year and featured footage of Eminem, The Roots, Jedi Minds Tricks, Sean Price and Agallah, Dead Prez, Wyclef, De La Soul, and countless others.
